Preserving Homer’s Historic Charm

  • Promote Historic Homer to surrounding communities and states.
  • Continue to upgrade sites in the Village to preserve its history.
  • Encourage community residents to offer suggestions on how to promote the Village.

Investing in Our Future

  • Ensure New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative Grant continues to enhance Homer’s downtown.
  • Offer new project ideas and seek community input on how to better the future of the Village.
  • Ensure Homer’s roads and public spaces are safe for all Village residents.

Standing Up to County Mismanagement

  • Strongly advocate for the needs of the Village vs. that of the county.
  • Offer suggestions/ideas on how to counter the county’s misuse of our tax dollars.

About Bob Russell:

Bob Russell is a retired teacher and administrator with over 40 years experience. After leaving the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and moving to Homer, he spent several years as a substitute teacher in Homer Central School District. Bob has lived in the village for almost ten years and enjoys its small town atmosphere. He wants to continue to see Homer as a safe and vibrant community and will use his experience as an educator to keep residents informed and knowledgeable regarding the village of Homer.
