No Kings 2 Rally – Saturday, October 18th

On Saturday, October 18 from 1-2:30 at the front of Cortland Courthouse Park Indivisible Cortland County will once again join with the national No Kings and Indivisible organizations in holding a “No Kings” rally.

At the first No Kings rally held on June 14, organizers estimated that more than five million people participated in more than 2,100 cities and towns across the nation. More protests took place in the U.S. territories of Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands, as well as in 20 foreign countries, including Canada, Japan, Mexico, and in Europe.

Cortland played its part that day, with 700+ people – the largest group to ever attend an ICC event in its 8-year history – showing up, chanting, singing, waving signs and, most important, demonstrating how much they love their community and country.
